Are you an unemployed South African eager to start a career in agriculture? The 2025/2026 Unemployed Learnership in Plant Production, funded by AGRISETA, offers a 12-month programme designed to equip participants with practical and theoretical skills in the agricultural sector. This initiative aims to empower individuals while supporting the growth of plant production across South Africa.
About the Learnership Programme
The learnership is offered through Letaba TVET College and is focused on providing unemployed South Africans with the knowledge and hands-on experience needed to thrive in plant production. Participants will receive structured training, combining classroom learning with practical exposure on agricultural sites.
The programme also aims to create employment opportunities and strengthen the skills base in the Limpopo Province. A total of 100 individuals will be selected to participate, allowing them to gain experience that could lead to long-term employment in the agriculture sector.
Minimum Requirements for Applicants
Candidates interested in this learnership must meet the following criteria:
- Must be a South African citizen.
- Must have completed Grade 12.
- Must not have previously participated in any learnership programme.
These requirements ensure the programme reaches unemployed individuals who are ready to develop new skills and start a career in agriculture.
How to Apply
Applications must be submitted in person at the Letaba TVET College Central Office, located at 1 Claude Wheatley Street, Tzaneen, Limpopo. Each application should include:
- A detailed Curriculum Vitae (CV)
- Certified copies of academic qualifications
- A certified copy of the applicant’s ID
Email applications will not be accepted, and late submissions will be automatically disqualified. Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted, and if you do not receive a response within one month after the closing date, your application will be considered unsuccessful.
Placement and Programme Conditions
Successful applicants will be placed at agricultural sites throughout the Limpopo Province for the duration of the 12-month programme. Full commitment to the programme is required.
